Alternate carriers, such as Federal Express, DHL and UPS all have abundant surcharges on your packages. These charges add up and increase your mailing costs. Parcel mailers using the USPS parcel delivery can avoid many of the surcharges–making the USPS shipment a good deal. One key surcharge, Residential Delivery Surcharge, is added to the package if the address delivery is a residence versus a commercial location. Group 1 products, such as CODE-1 Plus and Universal Coder have options to provide that key indicator, RDI.
